What to look for

  • Broken ramps: banding may indicate a driver, profile, ink, or hardware issue.
  • Colored neutral grays: check nozzle health, calibration, profiles, and paper settings.
  • Misaligned targets: run the printer’s alignment routine.
  • Blocked shadows: verify media choice, ink limit, and profile.
